Hi! Hopefully everyone had a wonderful summer and are ready to come back to Night Moms! We will be meeting at Greentree Christian Church this Thursday, September 8th, from 6-8 p.m. Babysitting will be provided, so bring the kids along if you’d like.
Motherhood is no easy chore, we are in this together! We have a fun year plan
ned with great activities, speakers, and wonderful discussion topics.

Hey ladies! I hope you are all ready for MOPS and Night MOMS to start soon, but WAIT, summer is not over yet! Because the end of year BBQ was cancelled due to bad weather, we have decided to have an end of summer/welcome back bash! This will take place Saturday, August 20th. We have rented out the Splashzone here in Rolla from 11-12 p.m., then will be going up the hill to the Ber Juan Park pavilion for a picnic and play time for the kids. Bring lunch and drinks for 
your own family, and be ready to relax and have a good time!

Greentree Christian Church will be taking a trip down to Joplin to help the people of the community this Thursday, May 26th. We will be working with the organization IDES (International Disaster Emergency Service) which already has a site from which they can distribute the needed food and water as well as branch out from to help search for survivors. Please contact Scott Robinson (573-201-7120 or srobinson@greentreerolla.org) if you are interested in going. Please be at the church by 5:30AM and we will return home sometime late in the evening. We will be taking the church van (and the daycare van, if needed), so you will not need to drive yourself. If anyone has chainsaws or other power tools (and gas cans) that will be helpful in the day’s work, please bring them along.
If you cannot go and would like to send something along to help, IDES has told us the big needs right now are: bottled water, non-perishable food, and totes or boxes for people to pack their belongings that were not destroyed. You can also write a check out to the church and we will purchase the needed items or you can go online to the IDES site at www.ides.org and donate. 100% of all monies given online will go directly to the disaster.
Due to rain, rain and more rain, we have cancelled the BBQ scheduled for tonight.

Tomorrow is our last meeting of the year! We’ll be wrapping up The Art & Science of Mothering with our Taste of MOPS (so there will be lots of yummy food) and Golden Mommy Awards. We’ll meet at Greentree church from 9-11am and childcare will be provided.
If you’d like to sign up for a summer book study, you need to turn in your form and $20 tomorrow so we have time to get the materials order.
We’ll still have our end of the year BBQ but as for regular meetings – this is it! Hope you can make it!!
Night MOPS will be meeting this Thursday evening from 6-8. It will be our last meeting of the year, so hopefully everyone can make it! We are going to have the fabulous Sarah W. come and teach a coupon class! It is going to be a blast! If you have seen the new show about extreme coupon shoppers, do not be afraid! She will be giving us some basic tips an
d smart ways to use coupons. You do not need to go to the store with your binder and get 87 bottles of mustard! (Unless you like to do that sort of thing, by all means, we won’t stop ya!) Bring your coupons if you have them! This will also be a Mom’s Night Out, so hopefully we will see some friends from Day MOPS as well! The more the merrier!
In addition to the coupon class, we will be making awesome coasters to take home.
In celebration of a great group of gals in Night MOPS, and for a fun Mom’s Night Out, there will be pizza and ice cream for everyone! Babysitting will be provided free of charge as well.
This has been a great year of new friendships in a new group. I really appreciate everyone for all they have done to help with coordinating this group, and for the time that it took to get it together. It has been a fun MOPS year!

Happy Mother’s Day to one of the most giving, caring & loving group of moms I have ever known! You not only do an amazing job of raising up your own beautiful children, but also at lifting up and supporting your fellow moms and friends in need. Thank you for all you do and I pray you all have a relaxing mother’s day!!

We’ll be making some cute coasters but even more importantly, we’ll be laughing a lot. Can’t everyone use a fun time of fun and laughter every now and then? Well, that is the goal tomorrow morning. So come ready to make something, eat some yummy food, hang out with friends and laugh a lot.
We are currently accepting nominations for Golden Mommy Awards! If you’re new to the group and wondering what I’m talking about, The Golden Mommy Awards is a fun thing we do at the end year to recognized moms in our group that are nominated by other moms in our group (kind of along the lines of class superlatives). We know that as moms, we don’t get recognized for much of our work and started this last year as a fun way to give kudos to moms in our group. If you’d like to nominate someone for a Golden Mommy Award, please e-mail the name of the mom, category you’re nominating her for (see below) and why (optional) to mopsgreentreerolla@gmail.com.
